Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using YerosCare, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What YerosCare is

YerosCare is a technology platform for virtual consultations. It connects patients with independent doctors whose MDCN licences we verify. YerosCare does not practise medicine and does not employ doctors. Each doctor is responsible for the advice and care they give.

4. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be 18 or over and in Nigeria.
• You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You may delete your account at any time in the app.

5. Patient terms

Consultations

Virtual consultations have limits. A doctor may advise an in-person visit.

AI specialty suggestions

AI specialty suggestions are informational only and are not a diagnosis.

Payment

Consultation fees are paid through Paystack at the price shown before you book.

Refunds

You receive a refund if the doctor does not attend the consultation, or if the booking is cancelled before the booked date. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Your responsibilities

• Give honest and complete health information.
• Do not use the service to obtain prescriptions for controlled medicines.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued at the doctor’s discretion.

6. Doctor terms

Eligibility

You must hold a valid MDCN licence and keep it in good standing. We verify it, and we may re-verify it at any time.

Independence

You are an independent professional, not our employee. You are solely responsible for your clinical decisions, your records, and your compliance with professional rules.

Profile

Your profile must be accurate. Only verified profiles are visible to patients.

Subscription

Access requires a paid plan. Plans are billed through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and are managed in your store account.

Patient data

Use patient information only to provide care. Keep it confidential and do not share or copy it outside the platform except as the law requires.

Conduct

Attend booked consultations. Repeated no-shows may result in suspension.

Suspension

We may suspend or remove a doctor whose licence lapses, who gives false information, who breaches these Terms, or who endangers patients.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

• impersonate others;
• upload unlawful or harmful content;
• harass doctors or patients;
• record calls without consent;
• attempt to access other people’s data;
• interfere with the service; or
• use the platform for emergencies.

8. Calls and messages

Voice and video calls are not recorded by YerosCare. Messages are stored to provide the service and are permanently deleted if you delete your account.

9. Our content

The app, brand and software belong to YerosCare LTD. You may use them only as these Terms allow.

10. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for the medical advice, diagnosis or treatment given by doctors, which is the doctor’s responsibility. Nothing here limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, YerosCare is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from a doctor’s clinical decisions. Our total liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or for legal reasons. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after notice means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
